DGQA Auszeichnung 2025 Lotus Arbeitsrecht

All our lawyers regularly advise English-speaking clients and speak English perfectly.

What it costs — and why it’s more predictable than you fear.

Statutory fees, not surprises

German lawyers’ fees in employment disputes follow the statutory fee act (RVG). The fees are set by law, identical for every law firm in Germany, and calculated from the value in dispute — transparent and predictable. Where the value in dispute is low or the case is unusually complex, we offer an hourly-rate agreement instead — always discussed openly before we start.

You have German legal expenses insurance („Rechtsschutzversicherung“)?

  • We check your coverage and file the coverage request for you (small handling fee).
  • We invoice your insurer directly — as a rule, you do not pay in advance.
  • If the insurer declines or covers only part, we tell you early and discuss the way forward before costs arise.

No insurance? No problem.

In the initial consultation we give you a realistic cost forecast and assess together whether proceeding makes economic sense. In dismissal cases, remember: the severance we negotiate typically exceeds the legal fees several times over — 97 % of our cases ended with an increased severance.

One honest warning about German labour courts: in first-instance proceedings, each side bears its own lawyer’s fees regardless of outcome. This is precisely why strong out-of-court negotiation — our specialty — is usually the economically smartest route.
